Global Philanthropy Program Reception and Screening

Fulfilling your grantmaking goals across borders can be quite challenging. Join your grantmaking colleagues to learn how the Alliance for International Giving can help you meet your cross-border grantmaking goals. The reception is open to all attendees. After the reception, we invite you to a dinner screening of Inside Islam: What a Billion Muslims Really Think, produced to promote peace and create dialogue among Americans, Muslims in America, and the world—through the media. National Latino Funds Alliance (NLFA) Reception

Monday, September 19, 7-8 p.m.


Meet members from the National Latino Funds Alliance and hear more about what Latino funds are doing in their communities to increase opportunities for Latino children and their families. Learn how you can get more involved and meet your goals of empowering and investing in communities. The reception is located at Golden Gate C3 (B2 Level) and is open to all attendees.




Networking Event at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art

Tuesday, September 20 - 7-8:30 p.m.


Use the skills that you picked up in The Power of the Networking Lifestyle during the networking event at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. The museum's permanent collection houses the West Coast's most comprehensive collection of 20th-century art, including painting, sculpture, photography, architecture, design, and media arts.

Be sure to visit the MuseumStore, which carries a wonderful array of modern and contemporary art books, innovative design objects and furniture, jewelry and apparel, and much more. You also won't want to miss the two special exhibitions Face of Our Time: Jim Goldberg, Daniel Schwartz, Zanele Muholi, Jacob Aue Sobol, Richard Misrach and New Work: Tiago Carneiro da Cunha and Klara Kristalova.

Amazing hors d'oeuvres and drinks will be served throughout the evening.




Breaks in Community Central

Throughout the conference


Community Central is the hub of the conference and the perfect place to meet your peers. It's always open during the conference, but these are the specific times we created a break from the programming:

  • Monday, September 19: 9:30-10 a.m., 11:30 a.m.-Noon, 1:30-2:30 p.m. and 4-4:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, September 20: 9:30-10 a.m., 11:30 a.m.-Noon, 1:30-2:30 p.m. and 3:30-4 p.m.
  • Wednesday, September 21: 10-10:30 a.m.
